Registered Massage Therapists
You do not need a doctor’s referral for massage therapy. However, if you are going to use your health insurance to cover the cost of therapy, the insurance provider may ask you for a doctor’s referral.
Yes! Massage therapy is appropriate for individuals of all ages, however, there are some conditions for which massage therapy may not be appropriate. A qualified RMT will be able to identify if massage therapy is an appropriate and safe choice to make.
Not at all! Even though massage therapy is a great way to promote relaxation, massage therapists are able to help with so much more.
Massage may help with:
- Managing pain
- Reduce stress
- Improving circulation
- Decrease muscle tension
- Reduce headaches
- Improve mobility
- Help improve your overall wellness.
Normally this will depend on your judgment of how you would like to keep maintenance on your body. Our therapist will usually recommend one massage per month.
If you are dealing with a specific condition or need, your RMT will help create a treatment plan which may involve more frequent massage sessions.
Of course not! Your comfort as a client is the most important. Massage Therapists will be able to provide a treatment whether you remove your clothing or not. All Registered Therapists are trained in proper draping to ensure your privacy during the entire treatment.
