High Intensity Laser and Super Inductive System Therapy in Toronto: What You Need to Know

Advanced Therapeutic Technology at Isomatic's Danforth Toronto Clinic

At Isomatic’s Greektown Danforth location, we offer two technologies not commonly found at standard physiotherapy clinics: High Intensity Laser Therapy (HILT) and the Super Inductive System (SIS). Both are evidence-supported and complement our hands-on physiotherapy and osteopathic care.

High Intensity Laser Therapy (HILT): Deeper Penetration, Faster Repair

HILT uses higher-energy laser light than traditional low-level laser, allowing for deeper tissue penetration. It works through photobiomodulation — light energy absorbed at the cellular level triggers collagen synthesis, reduces oxidative stress, and modulates the inflammatory response. Conditions that respond strongly to HILT include knee and hip osteoarthritis, disc-related back and neck pain, deep shoulder tendinopathy, chronic hamstring and quadriceps tendinopathies, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, and post-surgical soft tissue healing.

The Super Inductive System (SIS): Electromagnetic Muscle and Nerve Stimulation

The SIS uses high-intensity electromagnetic pulses to generate involuntary muscle contractions and stimulate nerve pathways — penetrating far deeper than TENS or standard electrical stimulation without surface electrode contact. SIS is particularly effective for joint mobilization in stiff or painful joints, muscle activation after surgery, spasticity management, facet joint pain, and fracture healing support.

Who Benefits Most at Isomatic Danforth

These technologies add the most value for patients who have a clear structural or tissue-level pathology, haven’t made adequate progress with manual therapy alone, are dealing with degenerative changes, are recovering from surgery, or have systemic conditions like fibromyalgia.

How They Fit Into Your Overall Care Plan

Neither HILT nor SIS is used in isolation at our Danforth clinic. The technology treats the tissue; rehabilitation restores the function. Both are always part of a coordinated care plan with physiotherapy and osteopathy.
